RHONJ Star Joe Giudice Will Be Deported If The Attorney General Gets His Way

Real Housewives of New Jersey star Joe Giudice has been fighting a judge’s deportation order for months, but his chances of staying in the United States are getting smaller by the day. The U.S. Attorney General is fighting Juicy Joe’s appeal and demanding his deportation.

Last month, Giudice submitted his final brief for his appeal to the Third Circuit Court. And this week, Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Division – Joseph M. Hunt – filed a 40-page rebuttal on behalf of the Attorney General.

According to Radar Online, Hunt’s rebuttal argues in favor of Giudice’s immediate deportation because he committed an aggravated felony, which is grounds for automatic deportation in the case of an immigrant.

Giudice came to the United States from his native Italy when he was an infant, but he never went through the process of becoming a legal US citizen.

In October 2018, an immigration judge ruled in favor of Giudice’s deportation based on the “aggravated felony” argument, which means the crime caused a victim to lose more than $10,000.

However, Giudice argues that he did not commit an aggravated felony in his fraud case, and he says Wells Fargo is not a victim because they were part of a multi-million dollar settlement and their loans “amounted to consumer fraud.” In addition, the RHONJ star paid $400,000 in restitution to the bank.

If Juicy Joe loses this appeal, it would be his third loss in his legal attempt to stay in the United States and he would most likely be on his way back to Italy. The Third Circuit Court should make a decision soon, but in the meantime, Giudice is sitting in an ICE detention center at Clinton County Correctional Facility in Pennsylvania.

Before he was in ICE custody, Giudice served a three-year sentence in federal prison for bankruptcy fraud.

Meanwhile, Joe’s wife Teresa Giudice has finished filming Season 10 of RHONJ, and she has made it clear that she will file for divorce if her husband is deported. Teresa recently admitted that being on RHONJ has always been hard for her, but she hopes that someday she can enjoy it.

“You’re going to get to know me even better this season because it’s hard for me to open up. I think that’s the problem that everyone thinks that I’m so tough,” she said. “I do open up this season, which is good.”
