Meghan Markles Friends Are Now Coming To Her Defense Against Racist Bullies

Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle went public with their relationship back in 2016, the former Suits actress has faced some serious racist hate from both online trolls and the British press, and her friends are tired of it. Markle’s bestie – Canadian stylist Jess Mulroney – recently defended her good friend on Instagram, but she isn’t the only one that is tired of the undeserved hostility.

Both Sir Elton John and Ellen DeGeneres have spoken up about the accusations that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “hypocrites” because they fly around in private jets while preaching about the danger of climate change. But, for Mulroney, the hypocrisy claims are just the latest example of years of abuse towards the Duchess of Sussex.

“3 years of undeserved hate and abuse, It’s enough. ” Mulroney wrote in an Instagram caption. “When someone faces unfair criticism, you call it out. When that person is your friend and family, you call those critics what they truly are. Shame on you, you racist bullies.”

Mulroney’s followers flooded the comment section and echoed her sentiment, and one pointed out that it’s not just the British press, as The Toronto Star ran a headline that read “King and Queen of Hypocrisy.”

One fan dreamed of a world where the press focused on the fact that millions of little girls are getting the chance to see a woman like themselves in an esteemed public position, and Markle is inspiring them to do great things for their community. Another pointed out that Markle just gave birth to Archie Harrison, and being a new mom is a lot, “let alone being dragged every which way and scrutinized for every little thing.”

The Good Place star Jameela Jamil also defended Markle, telling the British press and public to just come out and admit that they hate Markle because she’s black and they hate Prince Harry for marrying a black woman and “be done with it.”

“Your bullying is so embarrassing and obvious,” wrote Jamil. “You’ve all lost your marbles. It’s 2019. Grow up.”

Pink also came to the defense of the Duchess, tweeting that the way people treat her is the most public form of bullying she has ever seen. And, “it’s out of control.”
