Juice WRLDs New Posthumous Record Goes Platinum

Juice WRLD‘s aptly titled posthumous record, Legends Never Die, has officially gone platinum, a report from Hot New Hip Hop revealed today. Juice WRLD was already on top of his game when he died in December 2019, but his estate dropped a new project which included many collaborations with some of his closest friends.

Over his short career, Juice WRLD dropped two full-length albums, including Death Race For Love and Goodbye and Good Riddance. In the past, Juice WRLD reflected on the latter of the two which he described as rushed.

Many of the rapper’s fans still responded very positively to Death Race for Love, and it did exceptionally well on the charts as well. At the time, no one knew his career would come to an end so abruptly.

Our Generation Music was the first to report on the album’s newly found platinum status, which means it has sold over 1 million equivalent units. Fans of the performing artist made Juice WRLD one of three artists to get a song in the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 all at the same time.

According to Hot New Hip Hop, Juice WRLD has since received 22 RIAA certifications to his name, however, Death Race For Love still hasn’t gone platinum. Although it’s more than likely it’ll happen sometime in the future, especially considering he continues to grow in popularity.

As it was previously reported, Juice WRLD collapsed to his death in the Chicago O’Hare International Airport back in December of 2019 not long after his airplane was searched by the police for drugs and weapons.

According to the artist’s Wikipedia page, Juice WRLD took “unidentified pills” as the police searched the aircraft. They found 32 kilograms of marijuana and several handguns. Not long after he swallowed the pills, Juice WRLD fell to the ground and began seizing and convulsing.

He was taken to the nearest hospital after having been administered an anti-overdose drug, Narcan. Unfortunately, he died at the Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
